Update time!

With our home-show coming up I figured I had better update my website. I have been very busy sewing although my blog doesnt reflect that (well until now). Above is a purse I "designed", its has an over the shoulder strap, I cant really figure out how to make the clips hold on to the fabric, but tying it works just fine.
Below is a custom bag made for a new baby girl. It has four pockets inside.

This is another custom bag made for a younger customer, mom was trying to get daughter to stop stealing her purse!
I LOVE this bag (wish I had kept it for myself..). This is the standard "small" bag.
This is a very small bag, it was requested. It will hold a diaper and a onsie...thats about it!
This was a custom bag but now that they are being requested more it falls into the "small" category. The only bad thing about this tan fabric is that it HAS to be hand-washed. So buyer beware!
It has an inside zipper (this is an add-on)
back, pockets now are higher with no elastic, I find its easier to keep stuff organized if pockets are tight fitting.
MY bag! I love it!
Inside of my bag.
This bag's picture was taken on my cell phone so its not the best of quality (better one to come later)

She wanted a cute little fish! Aww!Above are babylegs, good for keeping legs warm and still have access to a dirty diaper.

So folks, that is all for now!

Lots and LOTS of bags (and other stuff)

So although my blog has been dead I have been super busy. I have joined forces with a cloth diaper company called ElemenoPee. My biggest seller for her is my diaper bags. I designed them myself! Cool huh? I have had four bag orders in the last two weeks. Of those four, two still need to be made! Yikes! I need get busy I think. But this weekend is vacation so unless I can get it all done on friday before we leave it may have to wait until Monday.
So this is the inside of a recent bag:
The front (not sure why it is blurry). These bags have a waterproof pocket on the front and 9 big pockets total. Also lots of extra space. The straps are padded for comfort as is the bag.

This was another special order, this thing is HUGE. This is the back. It is double the size of the one above (the one above is the normal one).
Lots and LOTS of pockets.
The front.
Custom Order LSU bibs.
This bag is still up for grabs!
Front.
Boppy covers made a while back, they are up for grabs as well. Although I made them with 100% cotton and they dont stretch well (next time I will use knit), so these are discounted.
I love this pattern,
Bag made for Johanna/our exchange student from Germany.
My first diaper bag for ElemenoPee, she uses this one to show off the bag. Its the first so its not as 'perfected' as the others.

Custom Order Bib/Chew-lynn
Custom Order Bib
USA bag (this is much smaller and is the older style bag)
Just a bag I made for fun.
Bag for my sister.
Bag made for a friend.
Bag for my cousin.
Shew! Thats a lot of bags, and I didnt even include a picture of the one I made for myself. Oh, well, maybe another time. Enjoy! Comment if you are interested!

I feel so special!

I have been chosen by Stitches in Cotton (http://stitchesincotton.blogspot.com) as a Kreative Blogger. So sweet right?!
I have no idea how to steal the button or how to link stuff to my page BUT I will give 7 things people MIGHT not know about me and will list 7 of my favorite krafty bloggers.

First off the Krafty Bloggers!
1. Stitches in Cotton (I know she is the one who chose me but she is one of my favs!)
2. Darling Diapers and Decor (friend from high school)
3. See Amanda Sew (she was my main inspiration, but now she doesnt post much..sad)
4. Inspired by Evelyn (good ol' Hannah)
5. Scrievener's Retreat (I just like this site)
6. Supply-a-holics (although this site drives my craft OCD crazy! but it has great links)
7. Mama's Little Monkeys (love!)

(if you were listed here do the same on your blog!)

Now for 7 things you may or may not know about me!

1. I taught English in Japan for two years (so maybe most of you know this).

2. I planned a trip alone at age 16 to Guatemala to help an orphanage (went with my aunt). To bad I spent a few of my days there sick and in bed from food poisoning..ugh. But it was fun to rock babies all day (you can do that sick)! The orphanage was ran by a man who had a radio show, I listened to his show one day and said to myself "I want to go!"...so then I raised money and went! My church helped alot and I even went with extra money to give the owners.

3. When I see something gross I imagine myself eating it...this is why I can sometimes have a weak stomach...gross right?

4. I love schedules and daily plans, without them I would be the biggest laziest bum around, with them my house and life stays relatively organized.

5. I hate when babies haves snotty noses. This is probably why Ness cringes/cries when he sees me coming towards him with the snot sucker.

6. I am OCD about two things, my crafting and the food I eat. I CANT STAND extra fabric and will make tiny things (like the dolls) to use it up. I hate buying stuff that I dont have a place for or I cant think of something to make out of it. This is why I usually get to little fabric for a certain project. I also cant stand extra ribbon, but sometimes it piles up...but as long as its "contained" Im fine. As far as the food, I read EVERY label on EVERY piece of food I buy, unless I have already memorized it. So food I cook and buy are all free of high fructose corn syrup, MSG, and partially hydrogenated anything. Now, if someone ELSE gives me food I am less picky...but this is rare so i guess its ok...

7. Save the best for last: I am a christian but could be called a "church wanderer" (actually you could call me a wanderer about just about everything I think...ugh). My husband and I have trouble with churches, Im sure it has a lot to do with our raising (maybe?) but we have tried it all! And we are STILL trying new churches. Of course church is really not as important as being a christian but yet still important.

New Slideshow!

Sheesh! That took a lot of work! I still have a slide show left to make for the bows but the bibs and sewing is done! So enjoy!

Plaquemine Car Show

So I know that this was several weeks ago...but (as my motto goes) better late than never!
The craft fair was actually a success. I spent no money to enter, hardly any money on things made, but walked away with about $65, which isnt bad at all! Especially considering my stuff is rather on the cheap side (most expensive thing is $10). Also it didnt seem to make a dent on my stock (this happens every time I enter, nothing really seems to be gone!).
(paused just then to video Ness standing at the gate with pokey watching the chickens..shew!)
So now I have lots my train of thought..lets see....oh yeah, craft fair! We have a "handmade" garage sale on May 8th (its also the same date as my sisters baby shower but hopefully she forgives me when she sees her gift). We have 4 "vendors" so far. Not bad! We hope for a decent turn out. We had wanted more vendors but people arent into that. Oh well! 4 is good enough!
I have changed my set up and I think that it looks much better now. I will do some tweaks but the main change is the bow set up. I like the new way much better. I have some pictures for you at home.
Our pictures wouldnt be complete without a few chubby naked babies! Thats the way Hannah and I roll!
Anyways, come out for out 'garage' sale! Off of Drusilla on Wesson St.

Expanding...

I had my second craft fair this weekend...it was fun. Ness did a really good job with his naps and stuff. My dear husband Michael made sure of that by setting his bed up in a dark bathroom...but whatever works right?! I made around $70, but when you subtract the money spent to get there and the entry fee I made all of about $20..but not bad right? I have another fair this weekend (one with no entry fee and no far drive!) and I hope to rid myself of more bows. I have way to many. I must have at least 100. And then I have the headbands and bow holders and all that jazz. I am thinking up some nice "deals" to get rid of them. Like, buy three bows get one free, buy a bow holder get a bow free, buy a headband get any bow for $3, that sort of thing. People like deals! (I know I do).

But I am branching/getting away from the bow idea. I dont think I will make any more bows for a while. I have supplies if I get an order or something but I went through my ribbon and cut it and heat sealed it so that it can be tied on a ponytail (we had some requests for some last weekend) and I will sell it like that. So we will go with that for a while. I also have a new job that I am SOOO excited about! The lady that I iron for is also going to let me make some pillows (9) for her! And she said they go for like $20 to $40 a piece! Amazing right? I made one and I have a picture I will put up on here.
My child is crying...I had better tend to him. Enjoy my new stuff. I am still crazy about the bibs and shoes, I am so in love with sewing now! And I still need to make a few more for gifts...so hobby lobby today for me and my boy!
Enjoy the pictures!
